Repurposed paint. It’s a thing.

Couple of people mentioned @seagullspaint to me over the last couple of weeks so it only made sense that @ellie_stevenson_ and I took a trip over.

Honestly, these guys are loving it. Ethical all over and just glad. Proper glad about it.

I took a swatch in - Lick Green No. 06. I’d painted the last studio with this stuff at nearly £50 per 2.5l. OK for a posh box room if you're really arsed, but the new place is HUGE and we're trying to do things consciously now.

Seagulls hooked us up with 10 litres of beautifully rich washable matte using a base leftover from a local council contract. Started out like Jersey cream before man matched the colour by eye - just playing about until he felt it click. Like a f*cking chef he was. An alchemist. Absolutely transfixed we were.

The colour is even better than Lick. Gotta say it. And went on like an absolute dream today. Pip got 3 walls covered before I’d even set my scuttle down. Honestly. Barely needs a second coat - telling you.
